Transformation the Great Oaks Way

OUR APPROACH

The thinking behind Great Oaks Transformation

In many ways those who lead or personify successful transformation could be seen as the oak trees of our professional world. They’re strong through experience, grounded with resilient roots and quietly influence and nurture the world around them

THE SYMBOL

Strength, resilience, and quiet presence

Oak trees are strong, distinctive, and deeply rooted. They weather challenge, adapt to changing conditions, and continue to grow year after year. They are resilient without being rigid.

Some of the most effective leaders and organisations share these same qualities.

THE PARALLEL

How transformation really works

Oak trees nurture the life around them. They support more species than any other tree in British woodland, creating environments where others can grow and thrive as conditions change.

The best leaders and organisations do the same, creating cultures where people feel supported, valued and able to contribute fully as the world changes around them.

ADAPTABILITY

Thriving through change, not resisting it

Oak trees respond to their environment, adjusting to drought, flood and changes in climate whilst maintaining strength. Adaptability is a defining quality of those who lead or embody change effectively.

It allows progress to continue even when conditions are difficult.

OUR THINKING

Why Great Oaks

Founder Kate Haskins made the final decision to start the company whilst sitting under her favourite Oak tree. It’s a tree she revisits regularly whilst out walking her dog.
